Published Apr 03, 2014Kings of Leon have already experienced their share of disasters on tour, including deluges of pigeon poo and a tour bus fire. Here's the latest to strike the arena-filling Southern rockers: fans at their March 28 show at Seattle's Key Arena may have been exposed to measles.
Washington State Department of Health has identified the gig as a possible source of measles exposure [via Spin/@chrisburlingame] due to a 20-something woman from Whatcom County, WA, who attended the show and has come down with measles. The virus is linked back to British Columbia, where there has been a recent outbreak.
Those who were at the show — or any other of the other locations the woman visited — and aren't vaccinated are encouraged to see a doctor, since measles is highly contagious. Of course, getting a shot is probably a good idea for anyone who hasn't already been vaccinated, considering the recent spread of measles.
Meanwhile, measles be damned, Kings of Leon continue to tour in support of last year's Mechanical Bull.
