Vancouver's Mint Records will be holding its "Ridiculously Early Xmas Party" this Saturday (November 30), but it's not the only local label with an annual holiday bash coming up. Kingfisher Bluez will be holding a holiday get-together of its own featuring sets from the likes of Needles//Pins, B-Lines and more.

The label's 6th Annual Christmas Party is being held at Vancouver's Cobalt on December 20, and a Facebook event page notes that it will feature "nine 'jolly' bands." In addition to Needles//Pins and B-Lines, this includes Village, Gal Gracen, Shawn Mrazek Lives!!, Zen Mystery Fogg and Tim the Mute (a.k.a. Kingfisher Bluez founder Tim Clapp).

The show will also feature the live debut of former Apollo Ghosts member Adrian Teacher's new band, Cool, as well as a yuletide-themed performance from Rose Melberg and Kellarissa under the name Tally-Ho Ho Ho!

To further punch up the holiday spirit, the $12 cover charge also includes a new Christmas 7-inch from Melberg and Gregory Webster, though details on what appears on the record have yet to be unveiled.

Proceeds from the show will go to both 1-800-SUICIDE and Crisis Centre BC. Tickets are available now at Vancouver record stores Red Cat, Zulu and Neptoon, as well as online.
