Published Nov 19, 2014It's been an extremely busy year for Vancouver label Kingfisher Bluez, and the imprint is celebrating its successful campaign with a Christmas show featuring a stacked bill of local talent. The party will take place on December 19 at the Hindenburg.
Most — but not all — of the nine bands on the lineup have released music through the label. Performers include the Courtneys, Dead Soft, Shawn Mrazek Lives!, Village, Skinny Kids, Poor Form, Mesa Lusa and Knife Pleats. Label founder Tim Clapp is also on the bill, performing under his moniker Tim the Mute. There will be DJs as well.
Tickets cost $12, and everyone through the door will get a free 7-inch (although it hasn't been announced exactly what this freebie is). All proceeds go to 1-800-SUICIDE and Crisis Centre BC.
This is the label's seventh annual Christmas show. Learn more about the night on Facebook.
