King Krule Returns with "Czech One," Plots North American Tour

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 23, 2017

Archy Marshall delivered his debut album as King Krule in 2013 with 6 Feet Beneath the Moon, then followed it up with a joint book and album dubbed New Place 2 Drown under his given name in 2015. Now, the UK musician has dropped a brand new track and announced fall tour plans.

"Czech One" arrives with an accompanying video, courtesy of director Frank Lebon. The clip captures Marshall on a red-eye flight, but despite being surrounded by other passengers, he gets lost in his own thoughts — reflecting on his past, present and future.

The surreal, noir-esque style of the video pairs well with the melancholic bedroom electro-jazz of the new tune. It will get released as a limited-edition 7-inch single on September 13 via XL Recordings/True Panther Sounds. Check out the video for "Czech One" down below and pre-order the single here.

King Krule will also be hitting the road this fall, touring North America and Europe. The string of shows kicks off on October 21 in Washington, DC, and will make Canadian stops in Montreal on October 28, Toronto on October 29 and Vancouver on November 5.
