King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have released more material in their near-decade of music-making than most other bands could dream of, and it surely is a tough task to cut their vast catalogue down to average setlist length. Now, the Australian outfit have solved that problem by announcing a pair of three-hour marathon shows.
Next April and May, the band will perform a pair of special marathon concerts that will feature material from all 15 of their full-length releases.
King Gizzard delivered those 15 albums over a seven-year span — including five releases (Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East, Polygondwanaland, and Gumboot Soup) in 2017 alone.
The first date will bring them to Berkeley's Greek Theatre on April 18, while a second will bring them to Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 6.
Pre-sale tickets to the shows will be available Thursday (November 14) at 10 a.m. PST, before tickets go on sale to the general public Friday (November 15) at 10 a.m. PST.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have released albums Fishing for Fishies and Infest the Rats' Nest this year through Flightless/ATO.
