King Diamond Announces North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 23, 2014

It's been about seven years since King Diamond delivered his last solo album, but the Danish metal god is asking fans to give up their souls to him this fall during an upcoming North American tour.

The falsetto-voiced, face-painted frontman had previously confirmed an appearance this November at Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest, but a press release revealed today (June 23) now notes the festival stop will be proceeded by a number of shows around North America. Two Canadian stops have been scheduled, taking place mid-October at Montreal's Olympia and Toronto's Sound Academy.

King Diamond will be backed by longtime guitarist Andy LaRocque, six-stringer Mike Wead, bassist Hal Patino and drummer Matt Thompson, with the tour also being described as "the most ambitious and largest North American productions of the band's entire history." You'll find all of the details on King Diamond's itinerary down below.

The singer's last album was 2007's Give Me Your Soul...Please.
