King Creosote Plots Canadian Summer Tour Dates

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jul 21, 2017

King Creosote (a.k.a. Kenny Anderson) may call Scotland home, but he's set to hit the Great White North for a series of dates in Ontario and Quebec.

Anderson has lined up seven dates in August that will take him between the two provinces, performing primarily with Toronto musician Michael Johnston. A first stop at Toronto's Revue Cinema will see him perform pieces of the soundtrack to archival film From Scotland with Love, in addition to a Q&A session and acoustic performance alongside Johnston.

The two will then perform at Ear Falls, ON's Trout Forest Music Festival and Winnipeg's Times Change(d) High & Lonesome Club before joining Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake, as well as Andy Maize, at Waterloo's Starlight Social Club.

Stops in Montreal and Toronto will give way to a performance with Skydiggers, supporting Blue Rodeo at the latter city's Budweiser Stage on August 19.

Anderson and Johnston teamed up to release The Bound of the Red Deer back in 2015, while King Creosote also released solo album Astronaut Meets Appleman last year.
