Kim Kardashian West's Robbery Assailants Still at Large

While Kim Kardashian West is back in the U.S., French police continue to hunt five people suspected of assaulting and robbing the celebrity in her Paris hotel room earlier this week.

The Associated Press reports that police in Paris are currently reviewing surveillance footage to try and identify the assailants, who had been impersonating law officials during the incident. Wearing fake police emblems, they forced their way into Kardashian's room, held her at gunpoint and stole an estimated $10 million USD worth of jewelry.

Speaking today (October 4), prosecutors in Paris noted that Kardashian's stylist had been in the room during the robbery, though her bodyguard was not present. While asked by the press, prosecutors denied to answer if the police-impersonating assailants had been in any way aided by members of the reality TV star's entourage.

Kardashian had been in France for Paris Fashion Week, but returned to the U.S. yesterday (October 3). She has not yet addressed the robbery and assault publicly, though a spokesperson noted over the weekend that Kardashian had been "badly shaken but physically unharmed."

As previously reported, Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, was alerted of the incident while playing a headlining set at New York's Meadows Music & Arts Festival. He called off the performance, telling the crowd "I'm sorry, there's a family emergency, I have to stop the show." He's since had to reschedule shows that were to take place this week in Philadelphia and Detroit until December. At this point, however, no upcoming Canadian dates have been affected.
