Killing Machine Killing Machine

What can you expect from a band that features ex-WASP, Impelliterri, Loudness and Belldonna (seriously!) members, besides some straight-up heavy metal? Indeed, horns flying high and tight black shirts adorned, Killing Machine deliver in proud fashion some classic melodic metal. It's all how it should be; ten songs, over 40 minutes, memorable choruses and upbeat power metal, a la Savatage or Helloween and a thousand other bands over the past 15 or so years, but, fuck it, it still sounds good. The only thing I can really complain about is the goofy triggered drum sound. Having drums that sound like a drum machine sucks (and so does using triggers to make your blast beats consistent, if anyone were to ask me), but it's not too noticeable on this disc. Horns up to Killing Machine for making a pretty killer traditional metal album without sounding cheesy or silly. (Candlelight)
