The Killers Unveil 'Battle Born' Artwork

Earlier today (July 26), Las Vegas-based arena rock troupe the Killers premiered the highway-bound video for new single "Runaways." Apparently road-ready visuals are the motif for the group's upcoming Battle Born LP, as they've now just dropped the similarly minded album artwork. You can check out the supremely goofy results up above.

As you can see, the Killers' familiar logo sits atop the image, with that previously seen, lightning-adorned Battle Born typeface resting slightly below. The real treat, however, is the battle between a charging mustang and, well, what we think is a speeding Ford Mustang (gearheads, help us out).

For the record, we're rooting for Black Beauty over there, with hopes that its hooves trample the shit out of that coupe's steel top. While the image seems suited to the band's typically over-the-top aesthetic, the horse power vs. horsepower theme just seems silly.

As previously reported, Battle Born hits store September 18 through Island.
