While they’re gearing up to make way for their upcoming third album Day and Age, due November 14, Las Vegas synth rockers the Killers will also be teaming up with Elton John to record a Christmas single. Titled "Joseph, Better You Than Me,” the single has not been recorded yet but is expected for a December release.

This will be the Killers’ third Christmas single, following 2006’s "A Great Big Sled,” and last year’s "Don’t Shoot Me Santa,” both of which were released for charity. As for Elton John’s involvement, he has previously spread some love for the Killers in the press about their fashion sense. In 2006 he told Fashion Rocks, "It's been a thing the British have always been very good at, with Bowie, myself, T. Rex, the Who, Queen. We all embraced that side of it… and I think it's good that some American bands are beginning to do that, but it's still very rare for bands to make a real effort… when you get groups like the Killers and Scissor Sisters who come along, it's thrilling.”
