Killer Mike, Pusha T, Danny Brown Collaborate on 36-Rapper, 42-Minute 'Rap Monument'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 18, 2014

In what's surely one of the most excessive and ambitious rap collaborations ever, a troupe of 36 high-profile MCs has teamed up to release a 42-minute track.

The project is called The Rap Monument, and it features Raekwon, Killer Mike, Pusha T, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, YG, Prodigy, Young Thug, Heems, Flatbush Zombies, Rockie Fresh, Nipsey Hussle and more (see the full list below). It was produced by Hudson Mohawke and assembled by Noisey at sessions in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York.

The Rap Monument is long enough to be considered an album even though it's a single track. It sports a grandiose, darkly orchestral tone, and its accompanied by a glossy video. The clip mixes candid studio footage with views of the city skyline and shots of the rappers stepping up to the mic with their iPhone text documents at the ready.
