Kid Sister

"Right Hand Hi"

If you've been following our news page for the last year, you know that we've been more than excited for Chicago rapper Kid Sister's debut album. Originally called Dream Date, the record was eternally delayed. Now, with the new title Ultraviolet, the album has been given an October 6 release date.

Besides tracks like "Pro Nails" and "Control," which have been around forever, "Right Hand Hi" is the latest album track from Ultraviolet to hit the web, and it's pretty damn good. A-Trak's electro obsession is all over it, from the Euro synths and busy beat on the verse through the strategically placed air horn. Still, it's the perfect backdrop for Kid Sis' vocal delivery, which opens with an airy melody on the chorus before dropping into her so-goofy-its-good flow.

Above all else, "Right Hand Hi" shows the diversity and finesse that Kid Sister is capable of. Here's hoping that all of Ultraviolet is this good.
