Kid Cudi Titles New Album

Cleveland, OH rapper Kid Cudi took to Twitter last night (June 4) to announce the name of an upcoming album. Going by the title Indicud, there has been no release date finalized, though the new record will mark the follow-up to 2010's Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.

The new stuff from Cudi will presumably arrive via his own Wicked Awesome label or Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, especially after his tirade against Universal for their "weak ass" handling of WZRD's self-titled debut back in January.

Expanding on the new album, Cudi tweeted, "It will be my version of The Chronic 2001, some songs ill produce, others ill feat &/or play songwriter" -- so it sounds as if there could be a lot of high-profile collaborations in the works, with Cudi calling the production shots.

The hip-hopper has been busy outside the music world, too, having just made his film debut at Cannes as the star of Kanye West's Cruel Summer. He also dropped a new track titled "Dennis Hook Me Up with Some More of This Whiskey" at the end of April, which we speculated might show up on an upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album.

You can give that song a spin below, while we wait for further details on the upcoming Indicud.
