Published Nov 22, 2016Last month Kid Cudi revealed that he was entering rehab to be treated for depression and "suicidal urges." Since then, he's made his live return onstage at Complexcon earlier this month, and has returned to ramping up the promotional efforts behind his upcoming Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' LP with videos for "Surfin'" and "Frequency." Now, he's penned a heartfelt thank-you note for those that have shown him support in recent weeks.
In a Facebook post last night (November 21), he gave shout outs to Travis Scott, Pete Davidson, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Willow and Jaden Smith, Pete Wentz, Tegan and Sara, Zayn and plenty of other celebrities who sent well wishes his way. Unsurprisingly, Drake was left off of the list.
Many of those mentioned made their support heard on social media and in the press, while West even went so far as to dedicate a live rendition of "Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1" to Cudi at a Los Angeles show last month.
Cudi went on to thank his fans, as well, for "opening your hearts and extending your love and support during a troubling time."
He also offered up some of his own optimism, saying, "I look forward to better days. Feelin' great and brand new. Can't wait to run into each and everyone of you and deliver a big hug. Be Ready!"
