Kid Cudi Snubbed By Lily Allen and Andre 3000 On New Album

Hard at work on his awaited debut, Man on the Moon, Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi has revealed that some of the cameos he requested didn't pan out. In a post on his website, Cudi said, "Lily Allen and Andre 3000 have declined my request for a collab. It made me realize, though, do I really want to go in on features? Sure, I like these artists, but this first album needs to be about what I can do." Having said that, the album certainly won't be light on star power, as there are confirmed guest spots from Kanye West, Common and Snoop Dogg.

Still, Cudi loves to collaborate, so he's promised that after this album drops he'll be working on an album of all collaborations with different artists. Then, after that he'll release an entire album with guitar champs Ratatat.

In the same post, Cudi sends a pretty serious message to would-be detractors, saying, "FYI. THINKIN ABOUT CHANGIN THE TITLE OF MY DEBUT ALBUM TO 'SHUT THE FUCK UP' CUZ THATS WUT ALL THE HATERS WILL NEED TO BE DOIN WHEN IT DROPS."
