Kid Cudi

"love."

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 3, 2015

Hip-hop explorer Kid Cudi is currently working on his album Man on the Moon III, but he's dipped back into a past instalment of the series by sharing an unreleased track called "love." from the sessions for last year's Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon.

The song was produced by Cudi himself with keys from Dot Da Genius and a sample from Ratatat's "Sunblocks." The track begins with a chilled-out groove before swelling with wailing guitars (or are those synths?) and then bursting dramatically into a melodic, uplifting refrain.

Cudi wrote on SoundCloud, "Hope it brings you some peace if you have a lonely heart out there." Listen below.
