As August comes to an end, there are a ton of great shows going down all across the country, and we're here to help you close the month off with a bang. In this week's edition of Can't Miss Concerts, from August 24 to 30, we've rounded up shows from some of our favourite artists, with everything from metal bands and rappers to award-winning country-pop artists.

Anciients
 
Vancouver sludge metal group Anciients are currently on an extensive tour of Canada, and if these shows are anything like their Vancouver set earlier this year, you'd be wise to show up. This week, fans will be able to catch the band's crushingly heavy sound in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and Alberta as they wrap up the last of the shows on this tour.

Beck
 
Known for seamlessly switching between a vast array of genres, multi-instrumentalist Beck is a true spectacle to watch live. Fans of his strange and diverse sound will get the opportunity to see him perform live this week in Vancouver before he heads back across the border to wrap up his summer tour.

Guns N' Roses
 
Los Angeles' most notorious rock band made their triumphant return to their classic lineup last year, and ever since, they've been hitting the road hard — although not without a fair amount of controversies. If you want to see Guns N' Roses this week, you can catch them performing in Winnipeg, Regina and Edmonton before they continue their lengthy trek.

Hopped and Confused
 
Mill Street Brewery have established themselves as masters of beer, but now they're taking a shot at hosting live music with some help from Dine Alone Records. The Hopped and Confused Festival will bring together beer, food and an all-Canadian lineup of musicians such as Tokyo Police Club, Hollerado, Dilly Dally, Yukon Blonde, Said the Whale and more.

Kendrick Lamar
 
Kendrick Lamar has been dominating the rap world this year after releasing his critically acclaimed fourth studio album DAMN., and with racial tension in the U.S. being so prominent over the last few years, his politically charged lyrics have never felt more important. French Canadian fans get their chance to see the Compton rapper live this week when Lamar makes a stop at Montreal's Bell Centre.

k.d. lang
 
Award-winning musician k.d. lang is on an extensive coast-to-coast tour of Canada, celebrating the 25th anniversary of her breakthrough album, Ingénue. If you want to see the singer performing some of her biggest hits, along with songs from her 2004 all-Canadian covers album Hymns of the 49th Parallel, lang has four shows this week from Calgary all the way to Toronto.

This year, you'll be able to see performances from Daphni, Africaine 808, Helm, Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Deathprod and more.

Jorja Smith
 
Soul singer Jorja Smith may be a newcomer to the music industry, but she's been catching more people's attention ever since her high-profile guest spots on Drake's More Life album. The British singer is bringing her Toronto connection full circle this week, performing at Velvet Underground for her first-ever show in the city.
