After reports emerged this weekend that Kendrick Lamar was planning to ban cellphones from his concerts, it's been confirmed that the hip-hop titan is rather prohibiting professional photographers from shooting his shows.

A rep for Lamar confirmed to Pitchfork that the rapper will not prohibit cellphone usage from fans, while Top Dawg Entertainment will provide images to media outlets as required for live dates.

Similar photo rules have been implemented by artists like Beyoncé and the Killers, who use their own official photographer on arena tours.

Lamar is currently on the European leg of "THE DAMN. TOUR" performing with James Blake. He'll head out on the road with his TDE crewmates on "The Championship Tour" this summer.

Last week, he delivered a soundtrack for Marvel's Black Panther featuring 2 Chainz, SZA, the Weeknd and more. It is available on CD via Umusic.
