As June comes to a close, there are a slew of great festival and shows that you can't miss: returning hometown performers, longstanding favourites and emerging artists will be gracing our country's stages from June 25 to July 1. AIM

Montreal will be abound with art, innovation and 32 hours of non-stop music at the AIM electronic music festival. The lineup includes local Montreal talent like Paolo Rocco, Electro Acrylique, Shaydakiss and Eekkoo. It also boasts international acts like Russia's Tesla Boys, Sweden's Axel Bowman and Mexico's Pachanga Boys, among the many artists visiting from around the world. Bad Religion

Bad Religion have become icons in the punk scene after 30 years of delivering legendary recordings and performances, and they're prepared to take on the world again with another international tour. Catch them in the prairies this week as Greg Graffin and the band summon the same aggressive intensity that kickstarted the Bad Religion legacy in 1979; devoted fans and new followers alike need to witness what Bad Religion are bringing this time around.

SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is taking over the city this week for ten days of jazz, blues, funk, pop and world music. Over 85,000 music lovers are set to attend the event, which boasts hundreds of artists including Viet Cong, the New Pornographers, Wyclef Jean, the Roots, Lights, ACRONYMS, the Pistolwhips and more. Sled Island

Calgary's Sled Island festival hosts visual artists, comedians, filmmakers, musicians, and over 30,000 attendees; these artists and art-lovers congregate in over 30 venues to spread artistic spirit throughout the city. Godspeed You! Black Emperor, De La Soul, King Tuff, ACRONYMS, Swervedriver, GROUNDERS, Failgiver and Kappa Chow are part of the expansive and diverse lineup that Sled Island has to offer. Montreal Jazz Fest

The Montreal Jazz Fest is one of Canada's most renowned festivals; it was inaugurated by Ray Charles himself in 1980 and has since hosted great names like Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and B.B. King. In this 36th edition, the lineup includes Beirut, Booker T. Jones, Foxtrott, Huey Lewis and the News, Joss Stone, Mika, the Sheepdogs and many more talented artists. New York City's Television are bringing their post-punk sound to Western Canada for two dates this week. The group, who came up in America's 1970s punk era, are considered one of the defining artists of the genre. The album that earned this notoriety is Marquee Moon, which has accounted for most of the setlist at recent Television shows. Tim Horton's Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival

Tim Horton's Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is a charity event that features over 200 rowing teams for non-stop boat racing over four days. It also boasts a steady stream of live music from artists such as Mounties, Yukon Blonde, Hey Rosetta!, the Rural Alberta Advantage, Dan Mangan + Blacksmith, Hollerado, Tokyo Police Club, and more — and it's all free!
