Kelis Signs New Label Deal, Working with Will.I.Am and Boyz Noize on New Album
Up until now, the most we've heard from Kelis this year is that she divorced rapper Nas after a six-year marriage, while pregnant with their child. Now, seven months later, her music career is back on track, as she's signed a new deal with Interscope.

According to Billboard, Kelis signed the contract through Will.I.Am Music Group, the imprint headed by the Black Eyed Peas front-man. In a statement that reads like it was written by a group of PR robots, Kelis said, "I love that I am now a new part of the Interscope family... 2010 is around the corner and I can't wait to put out new music and spend time with real music fans on tour again."

Besides running Kelis's label, Will.I.Am will also be producing some tracks for her album. To keep from turning completely into Fergie though, Kelis has also enlisted production help from electro party starter Boyz Noize. Kelis previously collaborated with like-minded club freaks Crookers on "No Security," a track that surfaced in September.
