Though the winter thaw seems quite far off at the moment, organizers behind Guelph, ON's Kazoo! Fest have rolled out the details behind their ninth springtime event.
Running April 6 to 10 across various venues in downtown Guelph, Kazoo! Fest will feature performances from more than 40 artists. Among them, you'll find such musicians as Calgary songsmith Chad VanGaalen, East Coast treasure Julie Doiron, Monotonix member Yonatan Gat, Toronto cellist Cris Derksen, and a joint performance from New York experimenters Kid Millions and Jim Sauter.
Other artists set to play the festival include Sandro Perri, Bonjay, Nap Eyes, Minotaurs, Partner, Fiver, Beat Cops, Gambletron, Above Top Secret, Emay, West Nile, Zones, Bart, Cupcake Ductape, Matt Monoogian, VIDA, and Not the Wind, Not the Flag, among others.
On top of the musical performers, Kazoo! Fest will feature visual art, multimedia art installations, the Kazoo! Print Expo, contemporary dance, comedy and more. There's also the third annual instalment of the mixed-media presentation Look Hear!, which will include work from local artists such as Jenny Mitchell, Scott Haynes, Devon Kerslake and Curtis Walker.
The full schedule, along with tickets and pass information, will be available soon. For now, you can get more existing information on the 2016 Kazoo! Fest over here.
