Published Sep 13, 2010While there was certainly a lack of drama compared to past years, one thing that had everyone talking at the MTV VMAs last night (September 12) was Kanye West's closing performance. Kanye debuted a new song called "Runaway," from his upcoming album, which featured an exceptional guest verse from Clipse's Pusha T. After the awards show, the rapper announced that he has signed with Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label.
"I'm definitely signed with G.O.O.D. Music. I'm definitely doing my solo project through G.O.O.D. Music," he told MTV News. "The Clipse is definitely coming with a new Clipse project. We're definitely coming with the Re-Up Gang project. The family is still here, man. It's just all about G.O.O.D. Music, straight up."
While the exact label details for the Clipse and Re-Up Gang projects remain a little ambiguous in that statement, Pusha T will definitely be dropping a solo record through Kanye's growing imprint. In addition to his appearance on "Runaway", Pusha T was also featured on Kanye's latest Good Friday track, which happens to be called "G.O.O.D. Friday." That song can be downloaded here. Kanye and Pusha's performance of "Runaway" can be streamed below.
