Kate Bush

Kate Bush has always been an enigmatic pop star, whether in the public eye or even more so in seclusion. This "independent critical analysis” reeks of "unauthorised biography” via its interviews with primarily insignificant figures (rock historians, unemployed session musicians), poorly compiled stock footage and what feels like a fifth person account of her life story. For such a private person, you can just hear Bush grinding her teeth in frustration over the existence of such a personal study. Still, it is Kate Bush, and some of the performances and video snippets make for some nice reminders of just how extraordinary a performer and visual artist she is. If you’re devoted and respectful enough to her as a fan, avoid this at all costs. But, if you’re curious to know a little more about this guarded genius, by all means take a look.
