Kanye's Red October Shoes Sell Out Instantly, End Up on eBay for $18 Million

Back in the fall, Kanye West complained about Nike boss Mark Parker, saying that he was unhappy with the limited availability of his Air Yeezy, which had unreasonably driven up the price. We're guessing he's not too happy, then, with the rollout of his Red October shoes over the weekend.

The all-red version of his Air Yeezy 2 went on sale on Nike's website on Sunday (February 9) and, despite the lack of advance warning, sold out almost immediately. At 10 a.m., Nike tweeted that the shoes were available; at 10:11 a.m., they tweeted that they were all gone.

Unsurprisingly, some pairs have already re-emerged on eBay, and they're being offered for some truly exorbitant prices. One UK seller currently has the shoes up for £10 million ($18,124,850 CDN), while other auctions are in the hundreds or thousands. Peruse your options, if you dare, right here.

This will likely be Kanye's last shoe with Nike. Last year, he revealed that he had aligned himself with Adidas. When previously complaining about Nike, he said, "Did you not want the Yeezys? Nike would make you believe it was my fault that you couldn't get them, but that was not the case. I wanted there to be as many Yeezys as there was LeBrons, and I wanted them to be at a good price, but that was not my choice, and we're going to change everything."
