Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music Crew to Drop "Mercy" Single on Good Friday

BY Josiah HughesPublished Apr 4, 2012

Way back in 2010, Kanye West led up to the release of his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy record with a string of songs released on what he called "Good Fridays." Considering that his record label is called G.O.O.D. Music, his signees are planning a collaborative G.O.O.D. Music album and this Friday (April 6) is the religious holiday Good Friday, everything is aligning as it should. In other words, this Friday will see the release of the crew's first single.

The news was confirmed by crew member and half of the Clipse, Pusha T, who tweeted, "RT @PUSHA_T April 6th is GOOD Friday... 'MERCY' drops."

We're no detectives here at Exclaim!, but we're guessing that this means that the track will be called "Mercy" and we'll get to hear it in exactly two days.

As previously reported, the G.O.O.D. Music album will include contributions from Pusha T, Big Sean, Frank Ocean, Jay Electronica and Marsha Ambrosius, with many more likely to be confirmed.

UPDATE: "Mercy" will feature Kanye, Pusha-T, Big Sean and 2 Chainz. You can also now see the song's artwork above.
