Kanye West's '808s & Heartbreak' Vinyl Reissue Gets February Due Date

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 31, 2013

Universal Music Enterprises' "Respect the Classics" series has been toasting hip-hop history with reissues of iconic albums from the likes of N.W.A., Public Enemy and more. Now, it is giving Kanye West's 2008 record 808s & Heartbreak the royal treatment.

It had previously been hinted at that the AutoTune-heavy album would be one of many reissues to look forward to in 2014, and now a listing on SRC [via Modern Vinyl] suggests that the repress lands as a double-LP/CD package on February 4.

The tracklisting for the vinyl set is the same as the original pressing from 2008, which is now out of print and currently fetches over $150 over on Discogs. SRC lists a $35.99 price tag for the repress.

An official street date for the record hasn't been confirmed on the "Respect the Classics" website, but it will apparently be part of a batch of February reissues that also includes Common's Like Water for Chocolate and Ludacris's Word of Mouf.
