Not far removed from his recent hospitalization, Kanye West met with president-elect Donald Trump in New York today (December 13). Though the two maintained that their conversation was simply about "life," West has now defended the meeting and clarified what was discussed during his visit to Trump Tower.
Taking to Twitter this afternoon, West revealed that he "wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues," including "bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."
"I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change," West continued before tweeting "#2024," potentially putting his own run for the presidency on hold.
Before he was hospitalized, West delivered a controversial speech in support of Trump at a "Saint Pablo" show in San Jose. Admitting that he hadn't voted in the election, West told the crowd that if he had, he would've voted for Trump.
