If you find the life of Kanye West at times hilarious, it seems so too does the rapper, as he's apparently in talks with none other than Will Ferrell to turn his life story into a film.

Reports have emerged in the UK that West has been in touch with the comedian to help him create a movie about himself that doesn't take itself all that seriously.

"He has been thinking about this this for a long, long time and he has been trading ideas with Will," an unnamed friend of West is quoted as telling the Daily Star newspaper. "Rather than take himself too seriously, he feels it has to be a comedy and not a preachy film."

It was also reported that Big Short director and Ferrell buddy Adam McKay may be attached to the project.

All this being said, you might want file this one in the "rumour" pile, since there has been zero official word from any of the parties supposedly involved with the project (which may or may not even exist). But if you want to get your hopes up, Kanye did tweet about his admiration for Ferrell earlier this year over Twitter. Kanye and Ferrell did also appear together onscreen with 2013's Anchorman 2.
