Published Jan 24, 2011Refusing to give our tired typing fingers a rest, we've had no shortage of Kanye West-related stories this month. From another Twitter rant to a new single, Yeezy does something newsworthy as often as most people go to the washroom. We tried to take a little break from covering the egomaniacal rapper, but he's caught our attention again by suggesting yet new album will be released in 2011.
Via Twitter, he kicked off this weekend's announcements by suggesting that his Jay-Z collaboration Watch the Throne will be coming in two months, but quickly followed it up by saying "MY NEW ALBUM COMING THIS SUMMER" and later "THIS IS HIGH END RAP MUSIC."
We don't really want to believe Kanye, as rappers are generally full of shit when they promise new albums within a certain timeframe, but the album-a-year model was something that Kanye followed earlier in his career, so you never know.
Either way, Kanye also promised that the video for his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy single "All the Lights" will be dropping in the next week, hopefully with a bit less necrophilia.
