Kanye West has been invited to lunch with President Trump in Washington later this week.
According to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, the controversial rapper will meet with Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner on Thursday (October 11).
They are expected to discuss manufacturing, prison reform and the prevention and reduction of gang violence in West's hometown of Chicago.
West recently made headlines for donning a "Make America Great Again" baseball cap and delivering a pro-Trump rant on Saturday Night Live.
After the episode aired, Trump praised the rapper for "leading the charge," against a show he described as "just a political ad for the Dems."
The pair previously met at Trump Tower in late 2016, shortly before Trump took office.
West's wife, Kim Kardashian, met with the president earlier this year, successfully negotiating a commuted sentence for Alice Marie Johnson, who had served 21 years in prison for a first-time non-violent drug offence.

Like many, I don't watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) - no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told "no"), was great. He's leading the charge!
