Kanye West Is Being Sued for $1 Million over Unpaid Opera Wages

To add insult to injury following his failed presidential run, Kanye West has now been hit with a hefty lawsuit — completely unrelated to his recent shenanigans — over unpaid wages to staffers who worked on his 2019 opera, Nebuchadnezzar.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, a hairstylist alleges that West and Live Nation failed to properly compensate "dozens" of service workers employed at the Hollywood Bowl production, "including the background actors, performing as audience members."

"Defendants oversaw, controlled and ran the production, and the aggrieved employees worked many hours on the production and were not timely paid for their work, or paid at all," the suit reads.

The employee-led class action is reportedly seeking $1 million USD from West and Live Nation for "failing to provide pay stubs, failing to pay minimum wage and overtime."

West has yet to respond publicly on the matter, as we can only assume he's hiding out in the basement of his Wyoming ranch, tending to his wounds over his catastrophic political loss — and planning his next run.
