Published May 25, 2012Whatever your take on Kanye West, you have to admit the guy's got ambition. From producing, to rapping, to fashion design and directing, he's carved out a well-rounded portfolio for himself. Up next for Ye, if all goes according to plan: amusement park design.
While promoting his new film Cruel Summer at Cannes, West explained that he eventually wants to work his way into the architectural world once he's done with music.
"What I want to do post-Grammys is I want to work on cities, I want to work on amusement parks, I want to change entertainment experiences or life. Something like if McQueen or Tarsem [Singh] was to meet the entertainment value of a Cirque du Soleil or a Walt Disney," GQ reports.
Any cityscaping projects will presumably be worked on via West's design company of "amazing thinkers," DONDA. The group's first major project is Cruel Summer, which features a seven-screen experience offering multiple angles and viewpoints throughout the film.
Who knows if or when the amusement park project will materialize, but a "Touch the Sky" rocket ride sounds like a good starting point, right?
