Kanye West Could Face Two-And-A-Half Years in Prison If Convicted Over TMZ Airport Dust-Up
It appears Kanye West has just landed himself in a steaming pile of legal doodoo. According to media reports, the 31-year-old has been charged with misdemeanour battery, grand theft and vandalism over an alleged dust-up between the rapper and a TMZ photographer.

As previously reported, West was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport last September after he and his manager allegedly accosted a photographer working of the TMZ gossip site, smashing his $10,000 camera to the ground and then grabbing and damaging another TMZ paparazzo's video camera. The accused pair was initially cleared of any charges in the incident, but now the Los Angeles office of outgoing city attorney Rocky Delgadillo filed the new set of charges Wednesday (March 18), the Associated Press reports.

If convicted, West faces two-and-a-half years in jail. His lawyer gave a "no comment" to AP about the charges.

West's road manager, Dan Crawley, also faces six misdemeanour charges - two counts apiece of battery, vandalism and grand theft - and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
