Kanye West Cancels G.O.O.D. Friday Due to "Lost in the World" Leak

We really hope you enjoyed the leaked version of Kanye West's "Lost in the World" single that was posted in our Click Hear section yesterday (September 29). The unfinished recording, which features Bon Iver's Justin Vernon on some heavily Auto-Tuned vocals, leaked to blogs and spread like wildfire despite the fact that it only has one verse of recorded vocals. Naturally, Kanye himself was pissed about the leak and is punishing the world by revoking us of our newly minted G.O.O.D. Friday tradition.

Taking to his Twitter account, Kanye announced that he won't be posting a new track this Friday in response to the premature leak. "Due to blogs leaking unfinished songs from my actual album I've decided to pass of Good Fridays this week," he wrote. "It's messed up that one hacker can mess everything up for everyone… I love to take a year to finish my songs and deliver them… to you guys in there most completed form… it would have seemed like since I give free music every week even the lowest form of human being would respect that enough not to leak… unfinished songs from my real album…"

Kanye followed up the statement with some silver lining, writing, "I'm in the studio or editing suite every night to 3am finishing the film and the album or practicing for my SNL performance...We've got 4 engineers mixing the album to finish it as soon as possible."

Despite various reports to the contrary, the album does not have a proper title or release date as of yet, although November is the month that it's expected.
