Kamasi Washington has already lined up a number of festival dates for this spring and summer. Now, the sax man has now announced plans for a co-headlining tour alongside Herbie Hancock.

Washington and Hancock will perform 10 dates outside of their respective festival itineraries, playing separate sets with their bands at each date. A lone Canadian stop will bring the pair to Toronto's Roy Thompson Hall on August 6.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday (April 12) at 10 a.m. local time. Further ticketing details are available here.

Washington delivered his Heaven and Earth album last year, which we named one of our Top 10 Experimental & Modern Composition Albums of 2018.

In March of this year, Hancock revealed he was at work on a new album with Washington, Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Wayne Shorter, Terrace Martin and more.
