Kamaal Williams has detailed his third studio LP. The UK artist and producer born Henry Wu will share new album Stings on September 27 via Black Focus Records.

The follow-up to 2020's Wu HenStings was recorded in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago over the first months of 2022, with additional arrangements coming courtesy of L.A.-based string savant Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

Sting's compositions reportedly began with lengthy solo sessions at an upright piano Wu had purchased for pandemic downtime away from performances and touring.

While a Twitter teaser points to expectedly jazzy, orchestrated material on the LP, new arrival "PKKNO" finds the artist staking out entirely different musical territory.

The grimy "PKKNO," which you can hear in the player below, leads a trio of non-album singles said to "expand and inform" what is heard on Stings. These include "Magnolia II" and different versions of album inclusions "The Last Symphony" and "Magnolia."

Wu, who records and releases electronic music under his given name, came to greater prominence as one half of Yussef Kamaal, the two-piece jazz outfit with drummer Yussef Dayes. The now-dormant duo released their acclaimed debut album Black Focus in 2016.
