Justin Bieber Says He's Releasing a New Album Before 2020

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 7, 2019

Justin Bieber is apparently releasing a new album before the end of the year.

The Canadian pop star revealed plans for new music via an Instagram Live video filmed by his wife Hailey Baldwin.

Skating around the house on wheeled shoes, Bieber declared that there's "an album out this year," as well as another new song "soon."

From behind the camera, Baldwin clarified that he meant "this year," as in 2019 (rather than within the next 12 months).

There are hardly any other details about the forthcoming album, but when it arrives, the record will mark the follow-up to 2015's Purpose.

Since then, Bieber has had high-profile guest spots on tracks like "Despacito," "No Brainer" and "I Don't Care."

Earlier this year, the 25-year-old announced that he was going on hiatus. He later opened up about his ongoing struggles with fame, depression and drug abuse.
