Published Sep 08, 2014Toronto neighbourhood the Junction is holding another music festival, and appropriately enough, it's called the Junction Music Festival. The third annual instalment of the event will take place on September 20.
The festival is free, and performers include the Sadies, Teenage Kicks, KASHKA, Ark Analog, the Beauties, Chameleon Project and Paradise Animals, among others.
The acts will appear in a variety of locations: there are a total of five outdoor stages and 30 venues. These venues range from music shops to cafes, book stores and other local businesses in the Dundas West neighbourhood.
There will also be music workshops, music-inspired menus from food sellers, and more.
Derek Downham of the Beauties said in a statement, "The amount of appreciation for musical talent has never ceased to amaze me. The Junction is, and always will be, a welcoming community for Toronto musicians. It's a scene free of pretension, with a genuine small town vibe. Somehow, the scene maintains a raw yet fresh terrain."
