Julien Baker recently stopped by Exclaim! TV to share a couple of songs from last year's Sprained Ankle LP, but now a new live clip hears her taking on a rock'n'roll classic by somebody else.
The Memphis-based singer-songwriter recently teamed up with the Children's Cancer Association-affiliated program MyMusicRx to record a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Badlands."
After introducing the song as one that is "unashamedly triumphant," she delivers her own acoustic rendition of it. The clip was captured to tape while Baker was at the Newport Folk Fest earlier this year, and you can see it for yourself below.
