A gifted musician/vocalist for hire, Julie Fader has been a secret pop sensation for many years. But all that should change this month with the release of her debut record, Outside In.
Fader has collaborated closely with Sarah Harmer, Chad Vangaalen, and Attack in Black among others, and is now a full-fledged member of Great Lake Swimmers. Her dreamy earnestness has proven to be compelling live, as she and her band craft a hypnotic brand of folk, infused by pop flourishes and an emotionally mature spirit. Outside In is a long-time coming for Julie Fader's fans and there's plenty to process about its first impression, made indelibly by the multi-layered "Maps."
