Juliana Theory Music From Another Room

With the Juliana Theory on their way to the major leagues, this six-song EP should be enjoyed, as it may be the last time they are able to get this creative and ambitious. Clocking in at over 27 minutes, the songs - written over the past few years but never recorded - showcase the band's more sombre, brooding and creative side. From the epic, Sunny Day Real Estate-esque orchestral meandering of "This is the End of Your Life" and "Piano Song" to the '80s pop new wave vibe of "Liability," and the swirling triple-edged guitar assault of "Breathing By Wires," Music From Another Room is the band's most thoroughly solid release. Fans of SDRE, Sense Field and Radiohead should especially take note. (Tooth and Nail)
