BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 2, 2014

Julian Casablancas previously announced his latest solo effort Tyranny, but has now shared further details about the record, including lead single "Human Sadness."

The new album, accredited to Julian Casablancas + the Voidz, is still set to arrive on September 23 via Cult Records and will be available in a couple of fun formats. You'll be able to blast it through your boombox with the special Cassette Store Day edition, or if you're more technologically savvy, Tyranny will also be available as a USB drive disguised as a cigarette lighter.

The Strokes frontman has also shared a new cut from the forthcoming LP titled "Human Sadness," which clocks in at a whopping 11 minutes and delivers slightly melancholy, highly digitized vocals from Casablancas. The new track is available for download here through iTunes, or you can give it a listen in the player below.

The album artwork has also been updated (pictured above) and the full tracklisting is available below. Casablancas + the Voidz will hit the road for a North American tour later this fall, and you can see those details over here.
