Published May 27, 2015The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas teamed up with his latest backing band the Voidz to deliver Tyranny last year, and now they've unveiled an ambitious 13-minute long video for the epic single "Human Sadness."
It opens with a quote from Rumi and introductions to the band members before splicing together vintage-looking footage of the band playing live and a much more dramatic storyline. We see Casablancas sporting a flannel vest and stocking convenience store shelves with soda, as well as a high-speed drag race, and some scantily clad women and prescription drugs thrown in for good measure.
Oh, and there's footage of wars, videogames, and a meteor hurtling towards earth, plus the ensuing destruction of the natural world.
Watch all the action go down in the video for "Human Sadness" by hitting play below. Tyranny is out now on Casablancas' own Cult Records.
