California boundary-pusher Julia Holter has a new album, Loud City Song, due out on August 20 through Domino, and now she's shared a new taste of that LP with a video for the song "In the Green World."
The song is quirky jazz number, full of thwacking fretless bass, thumping percussion, layered vocal coos and curious touches of strings and horns. The video adds to the arty atmosphere, since it features some unique theatre and lots of lavish costumes.
