There's really no escaping the forthcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will see Michael Bay finally have his way with the last remnants of sacred '90s pop culture. We've already heard "Shell Shocked," the movie's clinically created EDM rap theme song, and now it's been treated to a video.
The song, which offers EDM-by-numbers production from Kill the Noise and Madsonik and verses from Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign and Juicy J, is slightly better (or at least less noticeable) when paired with bright, flashing colours and high-contrast animations. The music video attempts to animate some life into the mostly lifeless rappers as they deliver their verses and await the sweet, sweet pay cheque of a blockbuster soundtrack.
