After shouting out Kanye West on the first official preview from Cody, Torrance, CA pop rock blasters Joyce Manor are saluting some local haunts on the latest teaser, a sad-sack anthem called "Last You Heard of Me."
Sounding something like a cross between Semisonic's "Closing Time" and early Weezer rarity "Jamie," the cut finds singer/guitarist Barry Johnson reporting on time spent at Los Angeles' Alibi Room for a beer, and why he generally doesn't partake in smoking weed in the parking lot. He then gets wistful above a push of pop-geared distortion, and recalls being shivering and naked by the end of the piece.
