That dude from Pure has released a solo album. Unfortunately, Beck already released it. Nevertheless, Jordy Birch's eclectic college-rock concoction, or as he dubs it, his Fun Machine, is entertaining enough, if somewhat uninspired, and rolls along at a steady, jangle-y pace without ever quite losing its froth.
