Jordan Klassen Announces 'Javelin' Album, Premieres New Single
A couple of years on from the release of his Repentance LP, Jordan Klassen is hurling another full-length our way. His Javelin touches down on February 19 via Nevado Music.

The indie-pop performer's latest was tracked at Tornillo, TX's Sonic Ranch studio, with Klassen performing the bulk of the instruments and handling all production duties. The 10 tracks are described in a press release as being "among the most confidently and imaginatively arranged Jordan Klassen has ever recorded."

On the lyric front, Javelin is said to have Klassen exploring his depression and his mother's battles with breast cancer. She is currently in remission.

Sonically, parts of the set are apparently in the same wheelhouse as Enya, whom Klassen apparently heard a lot of during his formative years.

"The record is a nod to the '90s new age music that I grew up with," he says. "My mom was really into Enya, and I wanted to explore some of those sounds in a very modern way. I wanted to really embrace ethereality."

Down below, you'll find the string-lifted first single, "Baby Moses," as well as the album's tracklisting and a clutch of overseas tour dates.
