Jordan B. Wright

"Come Save Us" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jan 20, 2016

Jordan B. Wright is readying a new LP titled Everything Blue for release at the end of the month, but before the full record arrives, Exclaim! is giving you the first look at the new video for album cut "Come Save Us."

The socially conscious singer-songwriter advocates for opening up discussions about discrimination and has championed causes like the need for gender-neutral washrooms. In the new video, though, Wright specifically tackles the topic of depression, hoping to "raise awareness and end the stigma surrounding mental illness."

The clip was directed by art therapist Shawna Dale and brings sketches, drawings and clay sculptures to life through playful animation.

There will be an album release party for Everything Blue on January 30 at the Burdock in Toronto. Before that, though, check out the video for "Come Save Us" in the player below.
